Our Story: Built to Last, Born to Protect

BubbleBunnys™ began in the summer of 2006 after two siblings lost their pet rabbit to a California heatwave. Heartbroken, they asked: What if we could make a bunny that lasted forever? In response, we developed a new standard of durability. Using highly tactile, sensory-focused, and stretchable materials, we created characters built for intense, everyday play—companions that could be twisted, tossed, and traveled with, always bouncing back in a world of disposable toys.

But a character built to survive life’s physical bumps soon found a deeper, protective purpose. Years earlier, while our founder was a student leader at Lehigh University, she experienced the devastating campus tragedy that took the life of Jeanne Clery. Out of that profound loss, a lifelong bond was formed with Jeanne’s mother, the late Mrs. Connie Clery. As a pioneer who spent 40 years transforming national campus safety, Mrs. Clery became our first Angel investor and our beloved "Clery" Godmother.

Today, we are bridging our durable design with Mrs. Clery’s legacy of protection through our newest character, AngelCakes™. As a small, independent team without corporate margins, we provide families and schools with storytelling tools that teach everyday safety, positive habits, and deep compassion. We aren't just making toys that are built to stay—we are building characters that protect, comfort, and heal.

Our Story

Built to Stay...

BubbleBunnysTM began in the summer of 2006 with one simple question after two siblings lost their real Mr. Bunny to a California heatwave:

What if they made a bunny that could last?

Not just through bouts of heat-but through classroom hands and feet, through transatlantic moves, and life's shifting grooves. Long before social media took off, BubbleBunnysTM Classic model, BlueBerry, began appearing quietly in shops and schools around the Bay Area, with its belly signed and its story shared. People didn't just collect these models-they kept them.

This Mr. Bunny was made differently.

● Durable by design.

● Soft, but resilient.

BlueBerry has been hugged, kicked (literally), tossed, traveled with-and yes, even run over-but he still "survived another day!"

BubbleBunnysTM have become a constant: In a world of disposable toys and fleeting trends, our tribute to Mr. Bunny never ends.

BubbleBunnysTM aren't here to be outrageous.

They are built for play, yet built to stay.
